What is Piece by Piece?
Piece by Piece is a relaxed jigsaw game made from twikoi's illustrations. Choose a picture, choose how many pieces you want, and build it on the board. Pieces that fit snap in with a click and stick together, so you can move whole sections at once.
There are 12 illustrations big enough to cut up, from busy ink scenes like The Dismal Blobs to her colour pieces like Strawlady and The Artist. Each one comes in 12, 24, 48 or 96 pieces.
When you place the last piece the seams fade away and her whole picture lifts and glows. The timer only runs while you are actually playing, so you can take it slow.
How to play
- Pick a picture and a size: 12, 24, 48 or 96 pieces.
- Drag a piece out of the tray onto the board.
- Drop it near its spot and it clicks into place. Pieces that fit each other also stick together and move as one.
- Tap ▢ edges to show only the edge pieces, and use ◀ ▶ to flip through the tray.
- Stuck? Tap 👁 to show a faint copy of the picture on the board.
- Place every piece to finish the picture.
Features
- 12 of her illustrations, each in four sizes.
- Pieces with near-square shapes and real knobs, cut fresh every time.
- A snap sound that climbs as you get a streak going, with her stars bursting at the seam.
- A "Frame done!" cheer when all the edges are in.
- On phones the tray sits under the board and a picked-up piece floats just above your finger, so you can see where it goes.
- A finished card that links to that illustration's art print on her site.

Tips
- Do the edges first with the ▢ edges button, then fill in from the corners.
- Look for strong lines and solid areas in her drawings. They are the easiest to match.
- Group pieces by what is on them before you place them.
- Try 12 pieces first to learn a picture, then go up a size.
Who will like Piece by Piece?
Piece by Piece is for jigsaw fans and for anyone who wants a calm, unhurried game. There is no fail state and no pressure, and the 12-piece size is friendly for kids.
It is also a lovely way to look at her bigger illustrations up close. Building a picture piece by piece makes you notice details you would skip in a gallery, and the finished card links straight to that illustration's print.
