What is Creep Paths?

Creep Paths is a free path puzzle made with twikoi's creatures. Two of each creature sit on a square board, and you drag a line from one to its twin.

Lines can't cross or share a square, and a board is only solved when every square is part of a line. That last rule is the puzzle: the short way between two creatures often leaves squares that no other line can reach.

Every board is checked before you see it: it has exactly one answer, counted twice by two different methods. There are 180 boards from 5x5 to 10x10, sorted from easy to hard, plus a daily board.

How to play

  1. Drag from a creature to its twin. Your line follows your finger, square by square.
  2. No crossing: lines can't cross or share a square. Drag across another line and it is cut back (slide back and it comes back).
  3. Fill every square: a board is only done when every square is part of a line.
  4. Change your mind: slide back along a line to shorten it, start at a creature to draw its line again, ↶ undoes and ⟲ starts over.
  5. Stuck? The 💡 hint finds a wrong turn and explains why it can't work, or shows the next sure step and why. Show me draws it.
  6. On a phone a little magnifier shows the squares under your finger. On a computer: drag with the mouse, or use the arrow keys and Space.

Questions

Is Creep Paths free?

Yes. Creep Paths is free to play in your web browser. No sign-up and no ads.

Does it work on phones?

Yes. It is made for phones first: lines follow your finger, a magnifier shows the squares under it, and the squares stay big even on a 10x10. It works with a mouse and keyboard too.

Does it save my progress?

Yes. Your solved boards, stars, creatures, picture pages and daily streak save in this browser on your device, and a board you leave halfway can be continued from the title screen.

Her art in this game

Every creature, host and picture page is one of her drawings, shown just as she drew it: only moved, scaled, flipped, squashed or faded. The ink lines, the round cushions under the creatures, the board and the paper are plain shapes and colours, never painted on her art. The game asks for kinds of drawings (roughly square creatures), so new drawings can join the boards without changing the game.
