What is Creep Pool?
Creep Pool is a free pool game made with twikoi's art. You play 8-ball and 9-ball on a felt table framed by her creatures, with real ball physics: follow, draw, side spin, cushions and pocket jaws.
Ten of her creatures wait on a ladder, each with its own style: one hits everything hard, one loves spin, one hides the cue ball where you can't see it. Beat them all and the night ladder opens.
There are also 24 trick shots set by her creatures, a daily run-out table that is the same for everyone, and games against a friend on one phone or online on two.
How to play
- Drag anywhere on the table to turn the cue. Tap a ball to aim straight at it. Drag the fine-aim strip for tiny turns.
- Pull the power bar back and let go to shoot. Slide it back to the start to cancel.
- The see-through ball shows where the cue ball will touch. The line shows where the ball goes. A pocket glows when it's heading in.
- Tap the spin ball and drag the dot: high = follow, low = draw back, left or right = side spin off the cushions.
- 8-ball: take solids or stripes, clear them, then pot the 8 in the called pocket. 9-ball: always hit the lowest ball first; the 9 wins.
- After a foul the other player gets the cue ball in hand and can drag it anywhere.
Features
- 8-ball and 9-ball with the standard rules: groups, fouls, ball in hand, the called 8, three fouls in a row.
- Real ball physics: follow, draw, stun and side spin, cushions that take spin, and pocket jaws that can rattle a ball out.
- A ladder of 10 of her creatures, each with its own style and skill, and a harder night ladder after the champion.
- 24 trick shots in four sets, each set by one of her creatures, with three stars each and a gold hint line if you get stuck.
- A daily run-out: six balls, as few shots as you can, a par set by the best computer player, medals and a result to share.
- Play a friend on one phone, or online on two phones with a room code.
- Six tables, each with its own crowd of her creatures, eight cues with her little drawings on the butt, and 22 of her pictures to unlock.
- Short lessons that teach aiming, cut shots, spin and ball in hand by doing them.
Modes, levels and unlocks
- The ladder
- Beat ten of her creatures one by one in 8-ball and 9-ball. Stars for winning, for no fouls and for sinking four in one visit. Then the night ladder.
- Trick shots
- 24 one-shot puzzles: pot the ball and stop the cue ball in a ring, bank it, kick it, play a combination. Three stars for a first-try solve.
- Daily run-out
- Six balls on the table, the cue ball in your hand. Pot them all in as few shots as you can. The same table for everyone each day.
- Friends and practice
- Two players on one phone, online on two phones with a room code, or a practice table just for you.
Tips
- Aim at the ghost ball, not the ball: the cue ball touches it on the far side.
- A little draw stops the cue ball from following a straight shot into the pocket.
- Soft shots are more accurate. You only need enough speed to get there.
- In 9-ball, look for the 9 behind the lowest ball: a combination wins at once.
- Snookered? Bounce the cue ball off a cushion first (a kick).
Who will like Creep Pool?
Creep Pool is for anyone who likes a game of pool: a quick rack against a creature, a tricky one-shot puzzle, or a match with a friend.
It is also for fans of twikoi's art: her creatures are your rivals and your crowd, her drawings ride on every ball, and her pictures are the prize.
