What is Creep Snack?

Creep Snack is a free physics puzzle made with twikoi's creatures. One of her treats, often her watercolour strawberry, hangs from ink threads, and one of her creatures waits below with its mouth open.

You swipe across a thread to cut it. The treat swings on the threads that are left, and when you cut the next one it flies the way it was swinging. Time it right and it drops straight into the mouth, grabbing three stars on the way.

Every level runs on the game's own step-by-step physics, so the same cuts at the same moments always do the same thing. Each level's answer is played back by our test before you see it: all 84 levels and the daily levels can be fed with all three stars.

How to play

1. Swipe across a thread to cut it. Start on one side and finish on the other; a near miss still counts.
2. Watch the swing. The treat swings on the threads that are left. Cut the next one while it swings and it flies that way.
3. Get it into the mouth (the dotted ring on the creature), and grab the three stars on the way for a perfect bite.
4. Later chapters: tap a bubble to pop it, tap a puffer to blow the treat along, let grabbers tie a new thread, keep away from thorns and walking bugs, and watch pins that slide on rails.
5. Stuck? The 💡 hint says what to do next, when (a gold ring closes around the treat at the moment) and why. Show me plays it for you. Lost the treat? The level starts again by itself.
6. On a computer: drag the mouse across a thread, or press 1 to 5 to cut threads from left to right, Space to pop, Q W E for puffers, H for a hint and R to restart.

Features

• 84 levels in seven chapters, each adding one idea, from easy to hard, with a guest eater at the end of each chapter.
• Every level comes with a recorded answer that our test plays back in the real physics: each one feeds the creature with all three stars, even when every cut is a little early or late.
• A lesson you play, not read: it only accepts the cut it is teaching, says why another cut won't work, and slows time down to say NOW.

Chapters

First bites, Bubbles, Puffers, Grabbers, Thorns and bugs, On the move and The feast. Each chapter opens after 8 levels of the one before.

Daily level

One level a day, the same for everyone, with the same creature and treat, and a result to share.

Lesson

Two little levels that teach cutting a thread and cutting at the right moment of the swing.

Tips

• Watch first. Let the treat swing once before you cut, and see where it is fastest.
• A treat flies the way it is moving when its last thread is cut: cut at the bottom of the swing for a long, flat throw.
• Stars sit on the way to the mouth. If you miss one, try cutting a little earlier or later.
• Bubbles carry the treat up until you pop them, so pop when it is right above the mouth.
• Walking bugs come and go: wait until the bug walks past, then let the treat through.
