What is Creep Words?

Creep Words is a free letter-ring word puzzle made with twikoi's creatures. Her creatures each carry one letter tile around a ring, and a little crossword waits above it.

Slide your finger from tile to tile to spell a word, then lift. If it belongs in the crossword, it drops into its spot. Real words that are not in the grid go into the jar as bonus words. Fill the whole grid to finish the puzzle.

How to play

Spell a word: put your finger on a tile, slide through the others and lift. Slid too far? Slide back to the tile before. You can also tap the tiles one by one and press ✓ in the middle.
Fill the crossword: every word in the grid can be spelled from the ring. Find them all to finish.
Bonus words go into the jar. Five fill it and give you a 💡 hint.
Stuck? Tap the creature in the middle to spin the tiles into a new order, or tap 💡 to show one letter.
With a keyboard: type the letters, Enter to try, Backspace to undo a letter, Space to spin, ? for a hint.

160 puzzles in 8 chapters of 5 packs. The ring grows from 3 tiles to 7, chapter by chapter.
Every answer is an everyday word a 10-year-old knows, and our test checks that every puzzle can be filled from its ring. Rude, violent and grown-up words are kept out of the answers and the bonus words.
Her creatures carry the tiles and hop when you use their letter; a guest, one of her big creatures, hosts the last pack of each chapter.
Hints are earned with bonus words, quick combos and finished packs, never bought.

Modes, levels and unlocks

Chapters: First words, Garden path, Strawberry patch, Star pond, Mushroom hollow, Moon meadow, Ink forest and Big words. Each pack opens when the one before is done.
Daily pack: Three puzzles a day (4, 5 and 6 tiles), the same for everyone, with a result to share and a streak.
Lesson: Two tiny puzzles that teach sliding, tapping, spinning, bonus words and hints, one move at a time.

Tips

Start with the short words: three-letter words give you letters in the grid for the long ones.
Look at the gaps: a gap of five squares means a five-letter word.
Spin the tiles when you are stuck. A new order often shows a word at once.
Try adding -S or -ED to a word you found.
The big word uses every tile. Find it and half the grid fills in.
Find words quickly in a row for a combo: five in a row gives you a free hint.
