Float: a free one-tap flying game

What is Float?

Float is a one-button flying game. Tap to flap and your winged creature bobs upward; stop tapping and it falls. Fly through the gaps between towers, and each tower you pass is a point.

The towers are stacks of twikoi's creatures, and the flyers are her winged drawings, from the little winged carrot head to the colourful winged monster face. Hearts float along the way: grab them to unlock new flyers.

It starts gentle, with a guided first flight, and gets harder: after a while some towers start moving up and down.

How to play

Tap anywhere (or press Space) to flap up. Stop tapping to fall.
Fly through the gaps between the creature towers. Each tower is a point.
Grab hearts. Grabbing them quickly in a row makes a chain.
Skim right past a tower for a close shave: slow motion and a bonus heart.
Spend hearts on new flyers from the Flyers list.

Modes, levels and unlocks

Fly: Endless flight. Your best score and total hearts are kept.
Daily flight: A seeded course, the same for everyone that day, with a result to share.
Medals: Medals at 10, 25, 50 and 100 towers.

Tips

Tap in short, steady beats rather than big bursts.
Aim for the middle of each gap, not the hearts. The hearts come to you once you have the magnet.
Close shaves are worth it only when you are calm. Do not chase them on moving towers.
Save hearts for the flyer you like most; you do not have to unlock them in order.
Watch for the moving towers after the first 20: time your flap for when the gap swings toward you, not where it is now.

Who will like Float?

Float is for anyone who likes simple, fast, one-button games that are easy to start and hard to master. A run can last ten seconds or ten minutes, and the next try is always one tap away.

It is a good pick for phones and short breaks. The unlockable flyers give you a goal beyond your high score, and the towers are a fun parade of her creatures stacked on top of each other, so there is always something to look at.
