What is Ink Garden?
Ink Garden is a slow, cozy 3D game set in a garden made of paper. When it loads, the garden unfolds like a pop-up book, and every creature, plant pot, strawberry and star you see is one of twikoi's hand-drawn pictures, standing up as a cut-out.
Each creature is dreaming of one thing: a carrot, a wrapped sweet, an ice cream, a tiny planet, the ink key and more. Find that thing lying in the grass, carry it over, and the creature joins the bouncing parade that follows you around. Befriend 12 creatures and you light the moon.
There is no timer and nothing can hurt you. It is a game about wandering, noticing little things and collecting friends.
How to play
- Pick who you will be. There are six of her creatures to choose from, like the stitched long-ear rabbit or the spiral-tailed ink cat.
- Walk with WASD or the arrow keys on a computer, or drag anywhere on a phone.
- Walk up to a creature to see its thought bubble. That is what it dreams of.
- Walk over things in the garden to pick them up. You can carry up to 3 at once.
- Walk up to the creature that dreams of what you carry, and it is theirs. They join your parade.
- Befriend 12 creatures to light the moon, then keep exploring to fill your sketchbook.

Modes, levels and unlocks
- Four garden corners
- You start in Flowerpot Lane. The Strawberry Patch wakes up after 2 friends, the Bone Orchard after 5 and the Star Pond after 8.
- Light the moon
- Twelve friends lights the moon: your parade dances around you and the sky fills with her drawings. After that you can keep wandering.
- The sketchbook
- A collection book with a page for every creature. The ones you have befriended are filled in.
Tips
- Pick up things you see even if nobody near you wants them yet. Someone in another corner might.
- You can only carry three, so give them away as you go.
- Rabbits tend to dream of carrots and skeleton-ish creatures of bones, so look at a creature's shape for a hint.
- If you lose track, open the Book to see who you have met so far.
Who will like Ink Garden?
Ink Garden is for anyone who likes cozy, gentle games: no enemies, no rush, just a pretty place to walk around and friends to make. It is a nice one to play with a child on your lap, since all it asks is walking and noticing.
It is also the best way to see a lot of twikoi's drawings at once. The whole garden is her art, standing up like a paper theatre, and the sketchbook turns your walk into a little catalogue of her creatures.
