What is Spot the Difference?
Spot the Difference is the classic two-picture puzzle, built from twikoi's drawings. The left and right scenes look the same at first glance, but some of her drawings have gone missing, flipped, moved, turned, grown, shrunk or swapped for another one.
Tap a difference on either side and it is circled on both. Find them all to finish the level. The first level has 3 differences; later levels have up to 7, with more drawings and sneakier changes.
It is a nice slow puzzle for one person, and a fun one to do together on a big screen.
How to play
- Compare the two pictures.
- Tap a difference on either picture. It gets circled on both.
- Hold your finger (or the mouse) down to zoom in with a magnifying glass.
- Wrong taps add 5 seconds. Stuck? Tap ๐ to see where to look (+8 seconds, 3 per level).
- Find them all, quickly, for 3 stars.
Features
- Seven kinds of change: missing, flipped, moved, turned, grown, shrunk and swapped.
- Four painted themes: Garden, Picnic, Starry dusk and Orchard.
- A hold-to-zoom magnifying glass.
- Labels that say what changed when you find it, like "Missing!" or "Swapped!".
- Quick finds in a row build a streak, with a bigger cheer each time.
- A results card with the creatures in the scene and links to meet them on her site.
- A daily scene with a result you can copy and share, so friends can compare times.
Modes, levels and unlocks
- Levels
- Levels keep coming: each one adds drawings and changes, from 3 differences up to 7. Every level has its own scene, made fresh from a seed, so it is the same if you replay it.
- Today's puzzle
- One daily scene for everyone, with a result to share.
Tips
- Scan in strips, left to right, top to bottom, instead of looking everywhere at once.
- Check which way each creature is facing. Flips are easy to miss.
- Count the little motifs in the sky. Missing ones hide there.
- Use the magnifying glass on crowded corners.
- If a creature looks a little bigger or smaller on one side, tap it: size changes count too.
Who will like Spot the Difference?
Spot the Difference is for people who like slow, careful puzzles and for anyone who grew up with these pictures in the back of a magazine. It is family friendly and has no rush unless you want stars.
It is also a good way to look at her drawings side by side, because you end up studying every creature closely. A big screen makes it easy for two people to search together.
The first level has only three changes, so it is a gentle start for younger players, and the later levels will keep grown-ups busy.
