Creep Fishing: a free cosy fishing game with twikoi's creatures

What is Creep Fishing?

Creep Fishing is a free, cosy fishing game made entirely of twikoi's drawings. You sit on a little dock with a rod and cast into four waters: Lily Pond, Ink Marsh, the Sweet Sea and the Starry Pool.

All 116 of her creatures live somewhere in those waters, and you can see them swimming under the surface. Cast near the one you want, wait for the bobber, strike when it goes under, then reel it in with a tug-of-war that is different for every creature.

Every catch goes into your journal with a size record, and swims in your own aquarium, which you decorate with the little things you fish up from the bottom.

How to play

Hold anywhere to swing your rod and let go to cast. Let go in the gold for a Perfect cast. A dashed ring shows where your bait will land.
Your bait sinks slowly. Hold to reel it back in. When the bobber only nibbles, wait. When it goes right under, tap!
To reel it in, hold to lift your green zone and let go to let it sink. Keep the creature inside the green and the side bar fills up.
When a creature shivers, it is about to dart. Some sink, some hop, some nap and then burst away.
Some creatures only bite in the evening, at night, in the rain or for their favourite bait. Tap the clock to wait.
Rare ones swim deeper and further out. Better rods cast further and give you a bigger green zone.

Features

Four waters with 29 of her creatures each, opened one by one with quests.
A reel fight with eight personalities: drifters, wrigglers, darters, sinkers, floaters, sleepy ones, hoppers and wild Big Ones.
Time of day and weather (sun, rain, mist, wind and starfall) change who bites.
Rods, reels, lines, five baits, a raft, a swan boat and bigger aquarium tanks, bought with ink coins you earn by fishing.
A journal with size records, and an aquarium you fill and decorate. Quests hang her pictures on the aquarium wall.
A Big One hiding in every water, which only comes out at the right time and in the right weather.

Modes, levels and unlocks

Fishing days: Fish from morning to night, travel between the waters you have opened, and end each day with a summary of what you caught.
Daily Big One: Five casts in the same water, with the same creatures, for everyone. The fifth is the Big One. Then share your score.

Tips

Aim for the creature you want: the dashed ring shows where your bait will land.
Short taps keep the green zone floating in one place.
Little things glint on the bottom. Let your bait sink right onto one to fish it up.
The journal tells you each creature's favourite bait, time and weather once you catch it.
Tap the clock to wait for the evening or the night: different creatures come out.
